Term 4 has begun! We have
a Book Week filled with exciting events, visitors, and competitions coming
up this term (week beginning 20th March). There will be more information
closer to the time but if you would like to help out during that week
please let me know.
Here is a round up of the forthcoming topics your child will be taught:
TERM 3 SCIENCE
Class 3 learn about reversible and irreversible changes this term. They
will also study micro-organisms.
Class 2 discover the characteristics of materials and follow up this with
work on how liquids and solids can be separated.
Class 1 are using electricity!
TERM 3 HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY
Class 3’s local geography study debates whether streets should be
closed to traffic.
Class 2’s local geography study looks at village life.
Class 1 will be delving into local history.
TERM 3 ART AND DESIGN TECHNOLOGY
Class 3 will be producing imaginative collage art work this term.
Class 2 will redesign last term’s money holders incorporating dyeing
embroidery techniques.
Class 1’s art work will find them sculpting around the school!
TERM 3 RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Class 3 discover where the Bible came from.
Class 2 look at why Easter is important to Christians.
Class 1 learn about religious celebrations and focus on Easter.
TERM 3 ICT
Class 3 will continue to analyse data, ask questions, and check plausibility.
Class 2 will continue to combine text and graphics and further develop
word processing skills.
Class 1 intend to communicate using text and write stories.
TERM 3 MUSIC
Class 3 create patterns and cycles.
Class 2 explore dragon scales!
Class 1 develop musical links with science and art!
