| Toynton all Saints Primary School is a rural village school originally
built in 1845. There was a classroom extension added in 1992 and our lovely
new Hall is now fully functional with the inclusion of a kitchen and storage
area and smart offices for the Head Teacher and Administration Staff. We have completely refurbished our Library/Learning area and have a new out-door early year’s play area. The Conservation Area is much appreciated by all and gives a great deal of encouragement to the children to take an interest in, and take care of, the environment. A visit and tour of the School will show you that the children at all levels appear happy and comfortable. Careful planning and preparation by the staff results in good levels of teaching and learning. The number on roll varies and as a small school, we are being encouraged to collaborate with other small schools in our area, i.e. New Leake and Halton Holgate to discuss the benefits and advantages of working closely together. The ethos of our school is to broaden and enhance the children’s experiences through the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum. We encourage individuality in that “EVERY CHILD MATTERS” using five core principles : Every Child should :
We encourage all stakeholders to have a direct interest and these stakeholders can include Pupils, Parents/Carers, Grandparents. Governors, Staff and members of the local community. We encourage visitors to the school to share and demonstrate their various fields of expertise and we believe that it is essential that all our new governors receive a comprehensive introduction to the broad range of issues and topics involved. The priorities for schools are influenced by their own improvement objectives and current and national initiatives. |
