WELL DONE THIS WEEK TO…

Charlotte Apps in Class 1! Mrs. Turner says she has been joining in with some really challenging maths work!! Mrs. Turner says that Cain Cadwallander has also been joining in with a really HUGE effort in making up his own sums!!! Brilliant stuff!!! In Mr. Martin’s class Jazmine Connolly has really stood out as a ‘Leader’! Not only has she kept me up to date with the Buddy activities-regularly! - but really impressed Mr. Irving with her very pro-active approach at the start of the Young leaders training he is doing in school. Also in Mr. Martin’s class well done to Jack Waters who has been so mature and responsible about his learning – a very impressive attitude! Mrs. Greenfield would like a mention for ALL of YEAR 6 for their ‘brilliant assembly and knowledge of angles’! They certainly knew how to keep the audience on their toes!! Very well done! Mrs. File would like Michael Johnson to have a mention for ‘fab’ work on sets in Numeracy (very sixties Mrs. File-we didn’t think you were that old!!!) Finally I would like to mention All of YEAR 5 for their very independently put together assembly-absolutely no support from me (as I was not here!!) and I think they deserve another mention as they all pulled together and ALL of them brought back their homework this week (which was research for their assembly and not one person let the year group down! Everyone had something to say which supported another person!-it can be done!!!). Very last of all I have to bring back my ‘Sorry Spot’! Oh dear! I am very sorry to Max Magner and Emma Davies who did not get introduced to say their piece in our assembly-whilst their names were in my notes if I don’t have my glasses I cant see the notes, and I over looked them! (Although I was assured no tears were to be shed over their disappointment!)-but I am sorry! They can lead the way next time!!
GOLDEN DUSTER goes to Class 1 this week-well done and very well organised!!!
HOUSE with the most points this week is NEWTON with 32 points-thank you Alex Taplin

COATS! SO MANY CHILDREN ARE COMING TO SCHOOL WITH NO COATS!! They then complain they are cold! AS it is winter and the weather is unpredictable PLEASE SEND THEM WITH COATS!!! Thank you. High Visibility Tags have been given to the children to clip onto their coats.

Start of term reminder!! Hair tied back, school shoes, and PE kit!! These are all in place for the health and safety of YOUR child. WE take a pride in our school and encourage the children to feel the same. Many thanks to those who do support us with the correct uniform but for the minority as with all schools, we would appreciate trainers in PE bags for PE and safe (no heels!) black school shoes for the rest of the day-thank you. PE kit can be left in school until the holidays so that it is always to hand and hair MUST be tied back (I am aware that some do leave home with hair tied back before releasing it in the playground!!)

DON’T FORGET THE BAGS2SCHOOLS! Thank you to all those people who have returned full bags and especially those who have been in asking for MORE! But we still have many not returned-if you can’t fill your bag please send it back to school so we can pass it on to someone who can!

Mr. Mence and Mr. Craven were unable to make their visits this week. Mr. Mence is off sick and Mr. Craven had an urgent matter at his school to deal with, but I will keep you posted!

Mr. Martin is the proud father of William Albert Martin-born yesterday weighing a whopping 9lb. 7 oz! Congratulations to the family! Mother and son are fine.
