WELL DONE THIS WEEK TO…

Summer Johnson, Harrison Bradley and Cain Cadwallander for great independent reading!! Mrs. Turner was very impressed-well done! Mr. Martin would like a mention for Keri Rose for taking part and helping to organise Thursday’s assembly! Jack Waters, Connor Storr, Hallam Hilton, and Tyler McKown all get a HUGE well done for ‘outstanding’ maths work on division-and that does get really tricky!! Great stuff! Mrs. File says that Charlotte Apps has been working hard in Numeracy-doubling numbers in Numeracy!!! That is fantastic Charlotte-and sounds to me like work that the older ones do!!!

Finally for this week, Courtney Garvey, Max Magner and Billy Wallis all deserve their mention for their hard work this term and superb progress!! When we looked at their work at the start of term 2 and the work they are doing now we found a MASSIVE difference in what they were achieving – and is all down to consistent hard work (not just a bit now and then!!)-fabulous!!

House with the most points this week is Lady Jane with 45 points.

SCHOOL CHAT!

The Maths Library is up and running!! Well done to Tyler and Adam who have stayed in at playtimes and lunchtimes to organise it: ordering games out of the catalogues (on a limited budget too!), sorting them out, designing instructional leaflets at home, organising ‘taster’ sessions and finally missing PE to get it started and ironing out all the ‘first session teething problems’!! PLEASE MAKE SURE THE GAMES ARE LOOKED AFTER AND KEPT COMPLETE!! Thank you.

Did you know MONDAY March 3rd. was St. David’s day? We are supporting our ‘neighbours’ with BARABRITH (a welsh fruit cake kindly baked by Mrs. Cragg!) at playtime and pupils can come to school dressed in red and white or a dragon!!

WE had a super assembly on Thursday organised by Keri Rose, as it was Thinking Day for the Rainbows, Brownies, Cubs and Scouts everywhere. If your child is interested the District Commissioner is Janet Green. Her telephone number is 01526-353997, and she can give you details of your nearest group! Thank you to ‘Poppy’ and ‘Buttercup’ who run Keri’s Brownie group, and came to talk to us!

Training Day FRIDAY APRIL 25th. We have the opportunity of a Health and Safety training day relevant to the needs of children and their behaviours. I appreciate this is just after the ‘Easter’ break-(but does give you a ‘long weekend’)! I have only made a provisional booking so if this presents too many problems PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
As you will all be aware Mrs. Greenfield is very pregnant (or as one eagle eyed pupil put it ‘looking more pregnant’!!) and will be starting her maternity leave towards the end of this term. The post has been advertised and we are looking forward to interviewing two strong candidates at the end of this week-watch this space and we will keep you informed!

We are very sad to be saying goodbye to Mrs. File in the near future! She has been successful in applying for a post at her ‘own’ school where she lives at Mareham-Le-Fen. She will be much missed! The post has been advertised and again we will keep you informed of developments!!
