WELL DONE THIS WEEK TO…

First of all MR. MARTIN for all his hard work last Friday when we had no teachers for Class 1 and he had Class 1 and 2 together (it is definitely NOT easier if they are smaller-poor Mr. Martin was VERY tired at the end of the day!!!) and Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Cragg who gave up their day to keep him going! With no Mrs. Turner and no Mrs. Nicholson and the supply teacher off sick their help was much appreciated! Thank you as well to Mrs. Clare who very kindly made up the packed lunches for the free school meals for Class 3’s trip to Grimsby when we were unsure about whether they had been ordered at King Edward-a caretaker and a half!! Mrs. Howitt went to Grimsby and so was not here for last weeks assembly so she would like a mention for last week to Rhys Scrimshaw who has settled into school so well! Mrs. Howitt is VERY impressed with him and how well mannered he has been! Joshua Broadbridge has also impressed Mrs. Howitt by designing and making his own biscuits! Billy Wallis and Alex Clarke have worked brilliantly as a team during their cookery sessions on a Wednesday afternoon, and Steven Cragg and Eleanor Bradley have been using the correct maths vocabulary! Excellent! Mr. Martin would like ALL of CLASS 2 to have stickers for their BRILLIANT assembly! I am sorry I missed (emergency dentist called!) but Mr. Martin told me that everyone was brilliant and that Leon Dean is bit of an unknown Hollywood actor!!! Wow!! Mrs. Greenfield says that Alex Taplin has been brilliant at always participating in class discussions and Emma Speed ALWAYS tries hard (not just when she feels like it!) and has done some really good Numeracy work. Miss. Brakespear would like Jazmine Connelly to have a sticker because Jazmine is great at getting all the staff to fill in the Celebration Assembly sheet for the assembly and the newsletter and is always polite and patient, especially when Miss. Brakespear was filling in the form!!! Miss. Brakespear also says that Eleanor Bradley, Nicki Cragg, Shannon Fisher and Courtney Garvey should have a mention for always being happy, polite and fun to be with at lunchtimes!! Fantastic! And Mrs. Howitt says well done to all the people who have sandwiches at lunchtime for being so well organised! Mrs. Howitt would like Damian Bark, Charley Bark and Michael Johnson to have stickers for their brilliant maths! They have been weighing and measuring and using great maths vocabulary too! Finally Jazmine Connelly would like Mr. Martin to have a sticker for ‘putting all his effort into the assembly about Theseus and the Minotaur’!! Good boy!!!
This week the winning house is LADY JANE with 49 points! Wow!!
The GOLDEN DUSTER goes to Class 3!!

Mrs. Nicholson dipped her toe into the world of work and we can look forward to normal service being resumed in the office next week! HOORAY!!! Having said that we are both out of school Monday morning Budget Setting (that time of the year again!) but back to our old routines on Tuesday!
