WELL DONE THIS WEEK TO…

Eden Steltner, Harrison Bradley and Ryan Holland in Class 1. Mrs. Turner has been really pleased with their reading progress and we were very impressed to hear that now they are reading REALLY hard books! Wow! In Mr. Martin’s class Libby Johnson and Tia Devy are both excellent role models. Mr. Martin told us how he can’t remember when he had to last speak to them about their behaviour! Miss. Howden would like to thank William Billett for being so helpful and making her feel so welcome when she started! Amy Brakespear and Annabel Armstrong have both got a mention from Miss. Howden for working very hard to improve their reading comprehension all week! (Getting ready for the Key Stage 2 SATS!!) Miss. Brakespear has asked for her ‘fun trio’ to have a mention for being so smiley and happy at lunchtimes! They are Leo Seal, Charlotte Apps and Isaac Forrester! Then Mrs. Howitt has asked for Charlotte, Leo and Isaac to be mentioned again along with Connell Minnican and Michael Johnson for their fantastic role play of Goldilocks and The Three bears!! (And very exciting stuff it was too!!!) At lunchtimes Hallam Hilton and William Billett have been commended for always putting their chair away and helping with the trolleys without having to be asked to-the midday supervisors (dinner ladies to a more ‘mature’ generation!!!) would like to say thank you to them! Thank you! Well done to Year 2 and Year 3 for their musical adaptation of Goldilocks and the Three Bears which we were able to watch in assembly this morning.
Finally well done to all those who supported the school singing at the Spilsby Music Festival, last night and Wednesday night! They were all so well behaved and sang superbly (and they are jolly tricky songs to learn!)
The GOLDEN DUSTER this week goes to Tyler McKown and Adam Marsh! Mrs. Clare asked that they have the duster as they keep the Maths Library so tidy and always clear up after everyone Friday morning!
The winning house this week is NEWTON with 43 points.

SCHOOL CHAT!

The Chocolate Bingo was a big success and raised over a hundred pounds!!! Many thanks to all those who helped to organise it and to everyone who turned up! The Sports Aid Appeal!), raised just over fifty pounds! Thank you for supporting us!
Next Term we see Year 6 taking their Key Stage 2 SATS. These are timetabled very tightly by Government guidelines so we have no choice about what to take or when. These start the week beginning Monday May 12th. and continue throughout the week. There are also strict security procedures and as soon as a paper is completed they are parcelled up and sent away for marking.
The Governors approve the Budget next term. As with a lot of schools it is very tight.
A HUGE thank you to Mr. Cragg and Mr. Stainton who have supported the school with the development of the gardening area and putting up the greenhouse! Of course it’s all thanks to Mrs. Cragg and Mrs. Stainton that we have got this far! They have been coming in at weekends and during the holiday so that ALL the school can benefit!
