WELL DONE THIS WEEK TO…

Hallam Hilton, from Mrs. Howitt for having such good manners at lunchtime-and always dazzles her with his smile!! We think that ALL the Midday Supervisors should have a mention for their great teamwork and GETTING THE JOB DONE!!!! And sometimes under rather tricky circumstances!!!! Miss. Brakespear would like to say brilliantly well don’t to Tia Devy for her listening skills and capability following instructions in art! Miss. Brakespear said she was ‘exceptional’!! Cain Cadwallander also gets an ‘artistic’ mention for his ‘skill at painting with watercolours’! Miss. Howden would like ALL of YEAR 6 to get a HUGE well done for working incredibly hard all week and doing their very best with their SATS! (The year seems to have gone so quickly! Just one term left now!). In Year 5 Emily-Rose Wartnaby gets a mention because she has only just started with us and has been dropped straight in the deep end but joined in everything and done her best to keep us with the rest of us! Nicki Cragg, Emma Davies and Billy Wallis have stickers because they have been interested and motivated enough to ask if they could stay in at lunchtime to carry on with their work and exceed all expectations when it comes to their own learning and wanting to make progress!! Mr. Martin would also like to mention Tia Devy along with Damion Clements-they have both worked hard on difficult tasks this week and did not give up!!! Mr. Martin says they have both shown lots of perseverance!! Well Done both of you! Finally in Mrs. Turners class Rhiannon Forrester has shown some very imaginative story ideas and Ryan Holland has come up with a brilliant riddle about a cheetah! (And it was very brilliant too!). Finally, both Adam and Tyler have asked that Charley Bark has a sticker for being very honest! Charley and her brother Damion take it in turns to have a game and share and Charley immediately said it was Damien’s turn to choose the game! The surprise mention is from Tyler McKown who would like to mention Adam Marsh for all the work he does with the maths library-Tyler says Adam always has the folder ready and it just would not work so well without him! Aah!

The GOLDEN DUSTER this week goes to Mrs. Nicholson for her very tidy office!!

The winning house this week is: LADY JANE with a new record of 87 POINTS!!

SCHOOL CHAT!

Please remember to send your children (girls!) to school with long hair tied back. There have been some incidents of head lice and it does help if long hair is tied back. It is a school rule for health and safety reasons so we would appreciate your cooperation. Thank you.

ISP in school continues! This term our targets focus on:
Reading: Understanding and Interpreting Text
Writing: Composition and effect
Mathematics: Explanations and Word Problems
These targets are differentiated to meet each of the year groups!

Parent’s evenings this year will be spread over two evenings and each appointment 10 minutes. They will be WEDNESDAY JULY 2nd. And THURSDAY July 3rd. from 3.30pm to 6.00pm. Children’s work will be out for you to look at whilst you wait. As always, if those dates and times are not convenient then please ring the school and will do our best to organise a mutually convenient time.

Reports will be out on June 27th. After some discussion we have slightly changed the format to try and give you as much information about your child in school as possible. Consequently we will be replacing the ‘number’ system for effort with a comment, and start the report with an overview of areas taught in each subject, and then comments relating to progress against those areas-let us know what you think!!
