WELL DONE THIS WEEK TO…

Isaac Forrester has a mention from Mrs. Turner for having such an enquiring mind at the Lincolnshire Show! There was so much he wanted to know about, he wasn’t interested in running about or getting from one stand to another, he wanted to learn!!!! Orren Stainton, CJ Cadwallander and Keri Rose also get a mention from Mrs. Turner for their responsible behaviour and mature attitude at the show and ‘being such good companions’!! Mr. Martin says that Amy Broadbridge, English Stainton, Scott Marsh, Leon Dean and Hallam Hilton were also a pleasure to work with at the Lincolnshire Show. Miss. Howden would like to say well done to Joshua Stumpf for all his extra work in preparation for business week, and also to Bradley Edwards for his super attitude towards guided reading-he had lots of excellent answers this week! Miss. Brakespear thinks that Aimee-Lea Bourne, Rhiannon Forrester, Dale Clements and Darien Connelly were brilliant at the Show too-but especially the boys as they helped with the girls!!! Mrs. Hurst says that Jazmine Connelly, Connor Storr, Michael Johnson and Hadley Hilton were fantastic at the Show and Mrs. Howitt thinks the same of Jacob Wardenier, Cain Cadwallander, Amy Brakespear and Annabel Armstrong! In fact……EVERYONE in the whole SCHOOL was absolutely fantastic!!!! And EVERYONE said it was the best school trip so far!!! Everyone behaved brilliantly and it was great all of us going out together! Well Done EVERYONE!

I would like to give a special mention to Rhys Scrimshaw for his dedication to map reading at the Lincolnshire Show, to Emily-Rose Wartnaby for her enthusiasm and kindness and generosity towards all of her group-she was really helpful to us all! Finally a mention from the Governors, especially Mrs. Stainton, Mrs. Cragg and Jane Robinson to Joshua Stumpf, Rhys Scrimshaw, Emma Davies, Amy Davies, Nicki Cragg and Steven Cragg, for supporting the school at the Bright Sparks Open Evening! They spent two hours Wednesday evening talking to parents of young children about the school and why they should send their children here! They gave out School Brochures and played with some of the children using the games form the maths library. I have had two phone calls about how proud the school should be of them and how polite and well behaved they were!! A great week for Toynton School!

The GOLDEN DUSTER this week goes to Class 3!!

The house with the most points this week is FLINDERS with 62 points!

The trip to the Lincolnshire Show was a huge success with the children working in teams to learn about their own culture. Each team had a pack of work activities which related to the curriculum in each class. They had to find out about animals and their habitats look for structures and materials as well as a variety of other activities that will support their learning this term! We all met up and had lunch together-and swapped ideas for more stickers and freebies! Many thanks to all the helpers without whom we would not have been able to organise such a trip-Thank you!

Mrs. Clare would like old books for her book stall which she is kindly organising for the summer fayre! Can you bring them to the hall anytime next week! So take the opportunity of a good clear-out of all those books!!
